Courts for the homeless offer help–and hope

“Resolving their legal problems is ‘critical to them moving forward’ in every case, says [Andre Simpson, chief operating officer of Veterans Village of San Diego]. And, as he sees it, the homeless court process re-instills faith in the judicial system and bolsters self-confidence as well. ‘I think it actually helps foster the idea that they’re doing the right thing,’ he said.”
